“No matter where we are, there’s meat, there’s marrow, there’s the more of God to explore.” [Ma, 3:07-3:15]
No matter where we are. No matter where we are physically, mentally, or emotionally, beyond what we may initially see or feel in a moment, there’s more of God to explore. This is easy to take ahold of when the moment greeted is “good,” but what about the moments that feel “bad?” The ones that hurt, the ones that make us angry or anxious? Scared? A full range of emotions and a full range of moments is part of being human. And although it may not always feel like it, it was intended to be a gift. But as we’ve all come to realize, so often the gift of a season is not always apparent in a moment, but rather is revealed in the journey. Elohim is inviting us to journey, to explore the more of Them, with Them, in all of our moments and emotions. To not experience a moment and label it immediately, but to journey with Them and let Them reveal how all of Heaven wants to meet all the earth of us. So instead of judging or ruling these moments with less-than-Heaven convictions, let’s take them to the Highest Authority and let Him reign in them victoriously.
I have had many moments and emotions lately that I was quick to judge or label as bad. But as I partner with Elohim in and through them, I am beginning to see a new ruling, a new structure being established. Receiving Heaven’s blueprint in our every day rendezvous has given me eyes to see that everything I thought was tearing me apart is actually bringing us together and that the aspects of myself I could only see as “my painful shortcomings,” He wants to reveal as “His powerful overcomings.”
Just as the “Trummerfrau,” the rubble women, dismantled establishments so that the original building materials could be reused to establish new structures, we get to partner with our Beloved to dismantle all the less-than-Heaven portion and perspective that the enemy tries to establish in our moments, and choose instead to release the all-Heaven-has within them.
We will recognize, more and more, the rendezvous our Beloved has tucked into our days, inviting us to moments, appointments, with Him. Moments that will still us, seed us, stir us, and reveal His goodness to us, filling our hearts with gratitude and a song of praise for all the goodness and wonder He wants to adorn our journeys with! And as Pa said in the podcast [23:56 – 24:24], “It begins in our own life, but then as the light of Jesus shines, we’ll find more and more places where we’re going to be rebuilding for the Kingdom, and rebuilding what God has set aside for this season, and restoring things back to how God intended. That’s the dismantling of our selfishness and the rebuilding of God’s love through us.”
- Is there an emotion or moment you have recently experienced (or perhaps currently are) that you may have been quick to label as “bad?” Let’s not let this less-than-Heaven establishment remain. Simply remove the period; instead of judging the moment, open it back up for God’s ruling! Go to your Beloved and seek Their heart on the matter. Journal your journey as you invite Elohim to dismantle what has been established (t)here that is less than, or not yet, what Heaven intended, and ask Them to release Their blueprint for the Kingdom come. Let the testimony of who God has been, and is, to you resonate within you as He fills you with what is to come, and give tehillah praise for every way He is meeting the human condition with Heaven’s cure. (For instance, I chose to journal about a place in my life where I had said/ruled, “I’m too weak to continue this or see this through, I quit.” And now instead of letting the “I quit.” be the end of it, we (Elohim and I) are removing the period so the journey continues. I am bringing this place to Them and now my cry is, “God I’m too weak to continue this or see this through in my own strength and I come to You and ask that Your strength would be made perfect in my weakness! Show me in Your daily bread how we can partner together in Your plan for Your victory in this area..” And then, so amazed by the goodness of my Beloved, I am just journaling, thanking, and praising as our journey unfolds together.)
- After quite a bit of perusing this week, I began to see that so much of this weeks podcast was making me think of when Ma shared about the “lost coins,” so I looked it up and reread Ma’s portion of the “My Antarctica” chapter in Terraforming Bridges (pls 90-101). I would like to invite you to revisit these pages as well and take time to soak and steep in what Elohim is saying to you in these outpours. Journal about the places of the podcast that Elohim is making deeper and wider to you, that you are taking ahold of as living word in your life right now and for the season ahead. I shared a few quotes below from Ma’s portion of “My Antarctica” that were adding dimension to this weeks podcast for me and helping me see it and apply it deeper and wider in my daily life.
“I find that my life has been lingered with the many times I didn’t know how to do something and didn’t feel like the most qualified person to do it, yet, I was invited. In the midst of these many, I have been ever aware that I couldn’t do any of it, if I didn’t do it with Him.” (Pg. 90)
“This far into a tale still being told, when the unfeasible needs answer, I find myself nestled in the narratives of Jesus as He asked the disciples to do things they didn’t yet know how to do, because He wanted the world to know their need of Him is good. Our journey to maturity isn’t to grow up to the place where we can do everything by ourselves, but to come to the posture where we would never want to do anything without Him.” (Pg. 90)
“It didn’t seem to the eye, at least mine, that my body had changed. I thought maybe I’d get some abs or something out of this deal! But I realized the cuts were on my soul. It was the beauty of being prepared. He had cut me in ways that I can never forget, through the beauty of obedience. Just doing what He says, when He says it, marks you forever.” (Pg. 93)
“Things that had lasted the length of my days, were no more, in just a few months of seeking His simple.” (Pg. 93)
“Right before we left He invited me to the word ‘still’ once more. It truly is a precious word to me. I found that “still” in Hebrew comes from the same root word as ‘rafa’ which means many things, but that held highlighted was “to utterly fail.” I could see all the places and ways I had utterly failed, yet they completely connected me to ‘Rapha’ the healer. He said, “I’m coming with the cure.” (Pg. 93-94)
“..I wasn’t excited to see, but desperate to know how He would meet me there..” (Pg. 94)
“..just pray..”
“Dialoguing with Him, while waiting breathlessly for His next word or response..”
“So many things try to find their way to me before I seek Him. Facts, factors and factions lay like choices, but they’re really just decisions with distractions. (Pg. 94)
“I remembered how easy it is to recognize Him, what He sounds like, smells like, looks like, feels like, when all I look towards is Him. So many things were never said aloud or even whispered, yet He moved. There, I could hear my own heart and recognize the rhythm, as in sync with His. The meditations of my heart, He married. The desires of my heart, He delivered.” (Pg. 95)
“If we can be still, we will know what He’s thinking, feeling and know what it, all of it, means to Him.” (Pg. 95)
“I remembered what it is to cling to His word instead of contending for it, with it or even become contentious about it.” (Pg. 96)
“I didn’t know what that meant. I just knew I had to hold on to His word. I could cling to it, because it was already so. I didn’t need to accomplish it, He already had. Another dose of passive trust!”(Pg. 96)
“How were we going to steward this? By letting it become real, every single day.” (Pg. 96)
“For we were going to encounter the Living God in a way where everything flesh and everything frequency, that would fail or falter would find fellowship. We would be reconciled to recognize Him fully in our every day and in every way.” (Pg. 97)
“Please don’t let this place be taken over, don’t let it be occupied with anything but You and Your plans.” (Pg. 97)
“I so love what gets to be expressed with another person when we’re with Him together, because we made room for each other.” (Pg. 98)
“I think I quickly recognized the clanging gong of the buckets. Those buckets “requiring” us to choose this or that in order to be called christian or companion. I realize now how loud it had become to my ears. I really needed the silence of Antartica.” (Pg. 98)
“It’s not about convincing each other of anything. It’s not about our affiliation, or alliance, it’s about our adoration. It’s about who we can adore together. And when we do that, all the dissonance falls away. We aren’t meant for sides or buckets. We are made to multiply the contents of the baskets we carry, for the King.” (Pg. 98)
“The other thing that I’ve come back with is that I will always look for lost coins. I’ve been doing that since I’ve gotten home. Where’s the lost coin? That coin is silence and stillness and being able to find the song and the motion within those. So when I feel the pressing in, the stress start to come, I start looking for that coin. There’s just a lost coin to find. And it might look like a planet, or it might look like a nearby heart that needs to be touched and ministered to. So that’s my Antartica. But you get it now, right? You have an Antarctica too. You have a different life to live. The way has been prepared. You can choose it every day.” (Pg. 100)
“Most of the things she didn’t even know to ask for, she just thought about her need. I watched as she touched all the fabric, and held it like it was holy, because He provided it. I listened as she talked about the texture of the fabric on the floor and how it crunches like snow, and I realized in that moment, she had arrived at her Antarctica. That’s what we experienced in Antarctica, and since.” (Pg. 100)
“Before you make your next move, allow yourself to be moved. Don’t pick up a task, take hold of the life He’s given you.” (Pg. 100)
