Blue Flame 47 Co-Sponsoring One of the Biggest Independence Day Celebrations in Tulsa Metro
One of the biggest Independence Day celebrations in the Tulsa metro is back, and Blue Flame 47 is excited to partner with The Bridge Church to bring the community together for the annual Bixby Freedom Celebration!
This free, family-friendly public event is happening on the Friday before the Fourth, July 3rd at Bentley Park in Bixby.
Blue Flame 47’s youth group is sponsoring the game area, and members of our team will be volunteering in various roles.
“One of the parts we are most excited about is the giving of a Make-A-Wish to a boy during the presentation part of the evening,” said Pastor Shari Norvell, co-founder of Blue Flame 47. “We have been supporters of Make-A-Wish in various ways over the past years.”
This year’s event will feature two especially meaningful moments: A Make-A-Wish Oklahoma wish-granting ceremony for a Bixby teen and a military swearing-in ceremony honoring future members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The event has also been designated an official America’s Block Party location, joining select celebrations across the country that bring communities together around patriotism, service, and neighborly connection.
The event kicks off at 6 pm on July 3 and wraps up with fireworks at 9:45 pm.
